Back to jot'd·foodjot'd·food is a personal food and nutrition logger operated by Jotd LLC (a Wyoming limited liability company), under which jot'd·food is a trade name. It lets you write down what you ate so you can review your history, plan meals, and build a shopping list.
This release is free and device-only: your log lives on your own device, and there are no user accounts. Optional accounts with cross-device sync, AI-assisted parsing of typed entries, and a paid tier are not part of this release.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of jot'd·food. By using the app you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use jot'd·food.
jot'd·food is a personal logging tool: not a medical device, not a diet or weight-loss program, and not a treatment for eating disorders or disordered eating. Nutrition figures it shows are approximate estimates based on what you type, not medically validated values. Any patterns it surfaces are correlations from your own logs, hypotheses to consider, never diagnoses or clinical conclusions.
If you are struggling with an eating disorder, disordered eating, body-image distress, or compulsive behavior around food: this app is not designed to treat, prevent, or manage these conditions, and tracking food can be harmful for some people in these circumstances. Please reach out to:
jot'd·food cannot replace professional help. Do not use it as your sole source of nutritional guidance, and do not disregard or delay professional medical or mental-health advice because of anything you see in this app. If logging food is making things harder for you, please step back and seek support.
You own your data. Everything you log in jot'd·food belongs to you. In this release your data is stored on your own device and is not sent to our servers. We do not sell your data. We do not show ads, and we do not use your data for advertising targeting, ever.
Because your data stays on your device, we do not need a license to process it on our servers to provide this release; the app runs locally to build your history, meal plans, and shopping lists.
Your data is your data whether you pay or not. No feature ever paywalls your logged history.
You agree to use jot'd·food only for its intended purpose, personal food logging and planning. You agree not to:
jot'd·food's current release is free. A paid tier is planned for a future release; its billing, cancellation, and refund terms take effect only when the paid tier ships.
jot'd·food is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any nutrition estimate, insight, or correlation will be accurate or meaningful for your situation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, jot'd·food's liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or fraud. We are not liable for any decisions, including health, medical, dietary, or financial decisions, made based on data or insights from jot'd·food.
If you have a concern or dispute, please contact us first at support@justjotd.com. We will make a genuine effort to resolve it informally within 14 days.
If informal resolution fails, disputes may be brought in small claims court in the State of Wyoming, or in the courts of your jurisdiction if required by local law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. These Terms do not waive any rights you have under the mandatory consumer-protection laws of the state where you live.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you (where we have a way to reach you) at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
You can delete any or all of your logged data at any time from within the app, immediately and permanently (hard-delete, no grace period; see the Privacy Policy). Because this release is device-only, there is no account to close; removing the app or clearing its storage also removes the data on that device. We may restrict access to the app if you materially breach these Terms.
